Today I met with a very nice gentleman who was thrilled to start carrying LOVE GROWN FOODS in the DU bookstore on campus! This is FABULOUS news! We are stoked to support DU and to still keep our involvement with the place where we went to school. Now we are working on talking to the food catering company for DU and will hopefully be available at  the coffee bars around campus! WE ARE SPREADING THE LOVE!!!

We will be down in Denver come September to greet the students and hand out free samples as they wait in line to buy their books! Stay posted as we get closer to the start of school!

Cheers to healthy food that not only taste good but is affordable! The movement has just begun!

LoveGrown Rocks!

“We are passing the bag around the office & loving it! Thanks for
great pilates class & the healthy treats.

See you friday at the arc.”

Samples on Saturday

I spent Saturday outside of Specialty Foods/Cheese Shop handing out samples, drinking some fabulous wine from Morocco (it was FOOD & WINE weekend) and spreading the LOVE! We got some AWESOME feedback from those who dared to indulge their taste buds and improve their health! It was SUPER fun and a great way to spend the day! We are going to try to make it to most Saturday mornings so come by and taste the LOVE!

We were honored to be featured in the SUMMER 2009 Issue of Edible Aspen! A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON THE EDIBLE ASPEN TEAM AND OUR LOYAL FAMILY OF CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS, AND FAMILY!

Check it out!

“Aspen Native 21-year-old Madeleine D’Amato and her partner, 22-year-old Alexander Hasulak, have created Love Grown Foods, a local company that creates Original Agave Naturals: healthy, delicious granolas and nut and seed butters made with pure, simple ingredients, with more products in the works. Look for their offerings at Parallel 15 and Specialty Foods in Aspen, or Good Health Grocery in Glenwood Springs. To order directly from the love-ly food crafters, visit www.lovegrownfoods.com.”

This weekend we came to Denver to join our fellow classmates and celebrate their accomplishment of graduating college. Alex and I both graduated a year early, but to be honest with you we didn’t fully feel graduated given all of our close friends were still in school. As we gave hugs and wished everyone congratulations, suddenly it seemed as if our college days were finally complete.

We had a great weekend full of festivities and saw all of our friends. It was a blast! From pool parties to BBQ’s with volleyball to late nights/early mornings out on the town, you could say we “lived the dream!” It was such a blast!

We also had the privilege to meet many of our friends’ parents and families–which was simply awesome! Alex and I couldn’t stop telling each other how lucky we are to have “such an amazing group of friends!”

It is also imperative that we give a special thanks to all of our DU friends who have spread the love and told everyone they know about the birth of LOVE GROWN FOODS. You guys are truly fabulous! (You know who you are!) Hopefully soon we will be able to get our products into the DU bookstore–or at least someone close to campus to share the LOVE and support DU with pride!

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2009!
